Fine Art Photography

Welcome to my new creations, mixing my photography with my painting and composite techniques.  Allowing me to bring to life images that only existed in my mind.  In paintings, I also did composites but they evolved with the flow of the paint. In photography composites, the image evolves with the flow of the photographs.  Both are plastic tools that allows me to convey and express how I see the world and how it impacts me.

These composites are very personal and carry a message that's very dear to my heart ; because of this in some of the composites I have used myself as the person.

Grounded - We at times, maybe more often than not, feel flightless because of life’s difficulty’s , challenges, upsets. We look around and everyone seems to soar above you, sometimes to unreachable heights. Yet these same individuals soaring above serve as a reminder that you too can soar again, that you have not lost your wings, just forgot they are there.
Butterfly Battle - The butterfly represents new birth, beauty and freedom. But what let’s the butterfly achieve some of those things is being cocooned, the struggle to escape its prison, and at the same time strengthening it’s wings and body. We all have struggles and sometimes we come out stronger, to move forward with a decision, a change, or just to be our true self.
See no evil - It has taken me aback the horrors that we see in the news on a daily basis. Even in sacred places, on many levels, those in power turn a blind eye to the events. A place where Love is the resounding message, the actions are sometimes the opposite, it is humans that are fallible and sometimes evil. The message from above, from good, has been corrupted and used by some for their personal agendas.
Invisible Beauty - Sometimes we get so caught up in daily human lives that the invisible blinders become more permanent......we don’t see the beauty, accomplishments, blessings. It could be right in the palm of our hand and it’s like it does not exist.
Lost - When my brother died it was like the world deflated, I refused to mourn his death because it would be real. Losing him was changing who I was, for if he didn’t exist then who would I become. It was only after that I realized we are constantly changing and we grow because of it, then I started to mourn. For without mourning my transformation would not be complete. That transformation included my realization that those things lost have already become part of me and they live and breathe through you.
Separation, from someone we love it’s an awful feeling. When you are attach to something it’s bad enough, but when that, what you are attached to is a human being , the feeling of separation is unexplainable. And when it’s out of your control, It’s gut wrenching and it’s inhuman. We, in any capacity as humans, can do better than separate our self from the love of our neighbor. To understand the pain that someone else is going through, is to understand ourselves as human beings. We as a human body, as spiritual beings are connected. We can’t say, that is their problem, or they should not have….. because in doing so, we are selling out ourselves.
Be true to Your Self
Taming the beast - With social media we have entered a new realm of seeing people behave in unbelievable ways. Fights on trains over a seat or a stare, road rage because someone was inconvenienced by a few seconds, sad things that we would not see in our daily lives, filmed for all to see.  It appears that we all must have a small beast inside of us.  Not the horrible beast that you see in movies, but a beast that will take you away from your sensible, passionate, humanly side. It may be the kind that comes out when you're stuck in traffic , or the kind that takes over when you self indulge , or may be the kind that takes you away from your purpose in life.  I like to believe that we are here to serve one another, to help one another. I believe that we only truly find our self with positive interaction with others.  You know...Love your neighbor.... But sometimes all that is pushed aside and we do what is best for us.....and that may be ok in small ways, but carry it further and you may escape who you really are, who you are meant to be.  Let this beast take over and you may lose your purpose, your humanity.....sounds dramatic....perhaps..... but little by little, if we don't tame the beast within, we may have to deal with someone we may not recognize.
Recluse - For so long many of us were quiet , silent , set apart from the rest because we felt different, in some cases we did not even know why. When some were worrying about who to take to the school dance, the rest were trying to figure out how to fit in the world. For me, throughout my adolescent , it was a state of confusion. My only friend was the stillness of the night where I can go over and over in my head what was happening. How did I become a defect? what will happen if anyone knew who I wanted to take to the dance? The burden and worry a youth or any person has before coming out is sometimes too much to comprehend and handle. No one youth or adult should have to go through this feeling of exclusion in modern day society, just because of who they want to be with. The world is changing slowly and beginning to understand no one is a defect, just different. Soon all youths will just worry about being young and going to that school dance with whomever they choose and not think twice whether its a boy or girl.
Wait - In this world of instant gratification, where we have information in an instant, ”wait” may become an extinct species. But....wait..... something’s are better waiting for; A flower to bloom, your first date, your first car, your first love. All these things build up anticipation, something to look forward to, and in doing so you may learn the value of what you are waiting for. I met my true love, my angel, at age 34 and I believe if we had met any sooner I would not have appreciated the wonderful and special person he is, or recognized the awesome love we have. So relax, surf the web, and take pleasure in waiting.
